Join us for the 4th Annual AAYES with Keynote Speaker Albuquerque City Councilor Nichole Rogers.

Community. Cultural Understanding. Allyship. Leadership.

AAYES is a youth cultural leadership event centered around the empowerment of African American / Black students and students committed to becoming strong allies. It is open to all high school students in the Albuquerque Public Schools (no matter their race/ethnicity/background). There will be opportunities for students to build knowledge and/or understanding about their culture(s), develop skills around being a strong ally / foster allies, develop their leadership, and build community understanding and networks. This event is led by the APS Coordinated School Health Department.  

Join us for a day of fun:

  • music
  • friendship

A light breakfast and lunch will be available. Participants will receive a certificate of participation.
