Nusenda Student of the Week

Dozens of students from across the district are recognized every school year thanks to Nusenda Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

The students are featured on the APS website, Twitter (@ABQschools), and in the district's newsletter, The Core. They also are featured on the schools page of the Albuquerque Journal on Mondays. And they are recognized by the APS Board of Education at the end of the school year.

Schools are selected at random to choose a Student of the Week. We make an effort to feature students from all zones and at every level each month. The task of selecting the Student of the Week falls to the principal, who often seeks staff nominations.
