Thank You Selfless Seniors Nominators

The next class of Selfless Seniors will be announced in December 2020.

The APS Education Foundation and its Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who nominated an APS high school senior to be recognized by Frank Frost Photography as a Selfless Senior next spring.

An outpouring of nominations were submitted in the last two weeks, highlighting the service of APS students not just in the past few months, but during their entire academic career with APS.  Some nominators have witnessed their acts of volunteerism since they were small children!  Nominators included APS staff and faculty who have served as teachers, guides and mentors to these outstanding young individuals.  The Foundation would like to acknowledge their incredible service not only to those nominated but to the student bodies they serve so well by offering opportunities for students to give back to their peers and communities.

Nominations and letters of recommendations also came in from neighbors and friends who have been beneficiaries of the kindness of those they nominated as well as witnesses to the impact they have had in their communities.  Some wonderful words of recommendation were also provided by fellow students who shared candidly how they were helped by the generous spirit of those nominated.

The nominations will now undergo a review process that ends with selection by the Selfless Seniors Selection Committee.  The Committee is made up of volunteers who understand the importance of this recognition.  Each member has devoted time to volunteering to support our community.  The Foundation is again excited to welcome Selfless Senior alumni to the committee again this year as well!

In December, the Foundation will announce who was selected.  For more information on the Selfless Seniors program, please contact Lawren McConnell at
