Teachers Enjoy Tea & Technology at Barnes & Noble
Barnes & Noble hosts educators in the annual fall reception.
APS Teachers Eugene Harris, Cleveland MS, and Michelle Ross, Mark Twain ES, at right, enjoy Barnes & Noble goodie bags and refreshments while visiting with Sally Newcomb, Community Relations Manager for the Coronado store.
Barnes & Noble has been a Join-a-School business partner to APS for many years. The Educator Receptions are always highly anticipated and this fall’s event was no exception. Tea & Technology offered after school tea, treats, extra discounts, and resources like best uses for the Table/ereader technology in the classroom. Teachers at the event were treated to bags of giveaways, raffles and a chance to win special prizes, including a NOOK Tablet or a $500 B & N gift card.
Barnes & Noble also offers donations, if available, when requested by teachers for activities supporting literacy and closing the achievement gap. The company also offers Bookfairs in store and online at bn.com/bookfairs . Sally Newcomb, Community Relations Manager at the Coronado store, can also help teachers plan exciting store events and provide materials and ideas to promote a book fair.
Barnes & Noble may also help with purchases for classroom required reading or wish lists. Staff can help teachers make the ordering process a little easier. Thanks for supporting literacy activities and events in APS!
