Student of the Week Jacqueline Salinas
8th grader at Truman Middle School
Jacqueline’s school experience: “I like being a student aide for the office. I enjoy helping people, and I have learned that working in an office is not easy. You have to check the attendance, file all the paperwork and there’s so much to do. I have learned lots of things but the most important thing I have learned is to be open with other people. I’m not scared to present in front of a classroom anymore, and that has helped me a lot in my classes, especially in my science class.“
Favorite subject: math. “I enjoy doing it. I’m always excited to go to class.”
Hobbies and activities: “I like to dance and spend time with my family and friends, mostly with my brother and best friend. They are always there when I need them. And let’s not forget about my parents. I’m so thankful for everything they have done for me.”
