Sophomore at Del Norte High School

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

What Destiny likes about school: I like the constant dedicated environment and the number of activities that you can be involved in. On top of me having classes that test my knowledge, I also get to incorporate Student Council and sports into my high school experience. The amazing and committed teachers, advisors, and coaches make each day even more enjoyable to attend and be successful.

Favorite subject: Currently, my favorite class is English because every day I get to learn something new to help me in the future. It is also my favorite class because I am able to be faced with many challenges to be prepared for the real world.

Hobbies and activities: I play volleyball, basketball, and run track for my school. I am also very involved in my school's Student Council, where I hold an office position. In my free time, I like to read, color, hike, and go on road trips with my family.

Plans for the future: In the future, I plan to attend college and graduate medical school in hopes of becoming a cardiologist. I am sure there will be many obstacles along the way, but I'm ready to see what life has to offer.
