Student of the Week: Bemsha King
Congratulations to Bemsha King, a 3rd grader at Bandelier Elementary, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.
About Bemsha:
Bemsha is an excellent student both academically and socially. She is a motivated learner who possesses a love of learning no matter what the subject area. This allows her to make strong connections when encountering new subject matter. Bemsha is a creative artist and writer. She is an adept leader because she has strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, but more importantly because she is interested in learning and listening to others’ points of view.
Bemsha is a caring, gracious and generous friend who enjoys interacting with others. She’s got a delightful sense of humor and is just plain fun to associate with!
Bemsha was Bandelier’s runner-up in the 2012-13 spelling bee.
Favorite subject:
Language arts, art and cultures, but she really does enjoy learning about a variety topics.
Hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school:
Reading, dance (flamenco, jazz), art, writing.
