Selfless Senior Spotlight: Claudia Zarate-Vazquez

Meet Claudia Zarate-Vazquez, the 2022 Selfless Senior of Atrisco Heritage Academy High School.

"I am Claudia Zarate-Vazquez, representing Atrisco Heritage Academy High School. Three words that are best used to describe me are kind, generous, and determined. As a first-generation student, there have been times when I was the one who needed a helping hand, which sparked my duty to help my community. For example, I have been an active member in Youth Against Drug Abuse, the Spanish National Honors Society, Jaguars for Positive Change, and many more that advocate creating change in our community. As a result, these opportunities have given me the insight to see that it is my responsibility to help my community grow, and prosper."
