Thanks to the generous support of individuals, corporations, and donors throughout the community, the Albuquerque Public Schools Education Foundation was able to award nearly $228,500 to APS teachers, staff, and district departments this fall. Funds will help enhance and enrich the learning experience of our students.

Foundation award winners were invited to attend an Award Meeting and share their innovative ideas, along with receiving a big award check! The grant money will be used for classroom projects and schoolwide programs ranging from creating a news broadcast studio at a local middle school to elementary students making knitted baby and toddler hats to donate to New Future's High School and local hospitals for the NICU.

The Foundation received 102 applications with requests totaling over $648,000. Its Board Review Committee selected 57 projects to receive an award.
