Intel Supports APS Students, Teachers
$30,000 given to the APS Education Foundation's Horizon Campaign
Intel, which was one of the cornerstone supporters of the APS Education Foundation’s Horizon Campaign, has granted $30,000 to support district students and teachers.
“Intel is a worldwide organization with a really huge focus on local education,” said Foundation Executive Director Phill Casaus. “We are so grateful for the company’s support – and not just financial support. Intel employees volunteer in schools throughout the district all the time.”
The Foundation is nearing the end of a fiscal year in which it has granted more than $200,000 to classrooms in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), fine arts and literacy. In addition, the Foundation has funded awards to the district’s anti-truancy campaign, plus more than $70,000 to clubs and activities, which help engage and retain students.
“We are proud of the district’s relationship with Intel and I know that will continue in the future,” Casaus said.
