Golfer Notah Begay to Help Rebuild Playground Damaged by Fire

The Albuquerque native’s NB3 Foundation is working with Albuquerque Public Schools on creating an even better “safe play space” at Osuna Elementary School.

Professional golfer Notah Begay is joining with Albuquerque Public Schools and the APS Education Foundation to build an even better “safe play space” at Osuna Elementary School after a fire destroyed playground equipment at the school a few weeks ago.

The former professional golfer and founder of the Notah Begay III Foundation is raising money through his foundation to enhance the playground, which is undergoing several improvements including drainage updates and new equipment paid for through insurance.

How You Can Help:

1. Donate to the NB3 Foundation.
Half of the donation will go to help make improvements to the Osuna playground and the other half will go to support community partners who actively manage issues surrounding Native children’s health. The NB3 Foundation is an award-winning, national Native American nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing Native American childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes. They do this through the development of evidence-based health and physical activity programs, strategic grantmaking, research and advocacy.

2. Donate to the APS Education Foundation.

  • Donate online (designate Osuna Elementary in the additional information box)
  • Send donation to P.O. Box 25704, Albuquerque, 87125. Make checks payable to the APS Education Foundation and designated to Osuna Elementary School.
  • Drop off donations to the Foundation's office at 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE, Suite 630E.

Thank you Notah!
