APS Education Foundation Grants Available
Deadline to apply for the current round of grants is 5 p.m. on Oct. 6.
The APS Education Foundation's first grant cycle of the school year just opened, providing educators with an opportunity to bring their innovative ideas to life.
Grants are available to all APS employees in several focus areas to support programming.
The foundation funds innovative ideas in the following categories:
- Classroom & Grade-Level Learning (fine arts, STEM, and literacy), up to $1,500
- Student Clubs & Activities, up to $10,000
- Schoolwide Impact, up to $25,000
- Guhl Literacy for Elementary Schools, up to $35,000
- Transformative Idea Grant, up to $10,000.
“Please submit your applications, and encourage your staff and faculty to apply,” said Shannon Barnhill, executive director of the foundation.
Information on each of the grants is available on the foundation website.
The Grant Portal (Google Site) provides step-by-step instructions to prepare for an application. If you or any of your applicants need additional help, please reach out to apsgrantwriter@aps.edu. The deadline for this semester is 5 p.m. on Oct. 6.
“All applicants must remove their school names from their applications when applying for the Classroom & Grade Level Learning Awards, the Student Clubs & Activities Award, and the Transformative Idea Grant (TIG),” the foundation stressed. “This allows us to remove bias during the review process. All applications that have school names or other identifying language, including mascots and acronyms, will not be considered.”
