She has a voice, no doubt about it.

Albuquerque's own Mary Miranda, a contestant on last season's The Voice on NBC, will be showcasing her talent at the fourth annual A is for Art! student art auction and gala on Friday, Sept. 20, at Hotel Albuquerque.

A is for Art! supports the APS Education Foundation and fine arts programs in APS -- programs such as drama, band, orchestra and choir that nurture talented young artists like Mary Miranda, a product of Albuquerque Public Schools.

Mary has embarked on a rising music career that ignited last spring on The Voice, a reality television singing competition. Mary's voice inspired artist judges Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira to all "turn their chairs" for her.

Since her appearance on the popular TV show, Mary has been performing across the country, appearing at red carpet events and preparing to release her first single in late October. She will perform that single, “Over You,” at A is for Art!

Mary has performed on the same stage as legendary rock band KISS and Leogun, Elton John’s new rock group from London. She was a special guest of the Arena Football League at their annual Celebrity Awards Gala in Orlando, Fla. And she sang her new single to a national audience during the morning program “The Daily Buzz,” which can be seen in Albuquerque on the CW Network.

In early October, Mary will hit the red carpet again in Hollywood at the Latina Magazine’s annual October release party.
