2023 Selfless Senior Spotlight: Tyana DeVargas

Meet Tyana DeVargas, the 2023 Selfless Senior of Valley High School.

“It has been embedded in my heart to give to those in need. My name is Tyana DeVargas from Valley High School. I grew up with an amazing mother figure who influenced me to give to others with a full heart. My mother always taught me it is better to give than to receive and that you can do a lot with the little you are given. I quickly fell in love with helping not only people but also my environment. From helping out at nursing homes to inspiring young girls to become outstanding leaders through dance! With all of this, I expect nothing in return. Seeing the joy and impact on others is more than an award to me. It is what I desire to do."
