Meet Matthew "Marquez" Henderson, the 2023 Selfless Senior of Freedom High School.

"My name is Marquez Henderson and I attend Freedom High School. I have done some reflecting on all the lessons I’ve learned over my life. Whether the experiences were positive or negative, I came out with something that will later help me in life. The specific quote that I live by is 'It only takes a spark to create a wildfire.' I believe this quote sums up why I want to help my community and be a positive influence because I’ve known people who don’t have a positive influence in their life or folks who think that they will never get out of this negative space they’re in."
