The APS Education Foundation (APSEF) partners with the community to invest in innovative and enhanced learning opportunities to help APS students reach their full potential.

Who We Are

The APSEF is dedicated to support of the Albuquerque Public School District. Established in 1995, the APSEF is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is governed by a volunteer board of directors that includes local business, industry, corporations and community leaders. Learn more about us!

Investing in Innovative Initiatives

Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) strives to create excellence in public education and serves every child that walks through the door, all 75,000 of them. The Foundation works with Albuquerque’s business leaders and philanthropic community to raise funds for the district and provide support for teachers, students, and families. We bring overall awareness to the district’s commitment to providing every student with a quality education, granting over $500,000 to innovative programs.

Platinum Transparency 2022. Candid.Candid Seal of Transparency

The APS Education Foundation has achieved the Platinum Seal of Transparency Rating on GuideStar, the world’s largest source Seal of Transparency of information on non-profit organizations. 

Events

Lunch & Learns

Throughout the school year, Lunch & Learns are hosted at APS schools who have received grant funding. These field trips to schools host donors and community leaders allowing them to see their investments with the Foundation in action.  Grantees showcase their programs.  Guests meet administrators, staff, teachers and students. 

Gold Bar

The annual Gold Bar introduces guests to the Selfless Seniors. The Foundation also recognizes an Outstanding Corporate Partner for their commitment to improving education.

Superintendent's Cup

The annual Superintendent's Cup brings together local captains of industry, APS leadership, and golf lovers everywhere for an important reason – to support our students. The Superintendent's Cup Golf Committee has worked diligently with the team at Sandia Golf Club to create a tournament that will be safe for golfers and volunteers.
