Amazing Work Being Done by Student Interns at Atrisco Heritage Academy
Mrs. Vladez's student interns at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School have been working hard to improve their local community!
This semester, Mrs. Vladez's student interns at Atrisco Heritage Academy (AHA) High School have been working hard to improve their local community. These dedicated student interns are responsible for organizing the food, clothing, and school supply pantry at AHA, as well as distributing food to those in need within our community.
Atrisco’s student interns play a vital role in maintaining the AHA Family Center, which collaborates with APS parents and guardians to provide essential resources, including a clothing and school supply bank, food bank, utility assistance, counseling referrals, tutoring support, and more. Student interns organize meetings with the Legislative Education Study Committee (LESC) and have had the opportunity to welcome state senators, representatives, and APS district leaders, including the new superintendent, Dr. Blakey!
The work being done by Mrs.Valdez’s students at Atrisco is not only greatly beneficial to our community but gives students crucial career skills such as time management and collaboration!
