Explora's Career Pathways Program at X Studio

Explora's Career Pathways Internship (CPI) program offers high school juniors and seniors a gateway to move beyond economic limitations and into intellectually stimulating, personally rewarding employment in STEAM jobs.

Why Join Us?

Explora's Career Pathway Internship Program (CPI), empowers Albuquerque youth by offering paid internships and essential career support, contributing to community economic growth. Explora offers weekly training on workforce skills, financial literacy, STEAM concepts, and social-emotional learning. All interns receive one-on-one mentorship with a member of Explora staff to further their personal, career, and educational goals. Program perks include guided college visits, exposure to career pathways and opportunities, youth networking events, and more! 

Program Structure

First Year: Juniors focus on workforce training and STEAM education under mentorship, gaining skills in classroom management and visitor engagement.

Second Year: Seniors deepen STEAM knowledge, engage with professionals, and plan for future steps like higher education or certifications.

*Requirements to Apply:

  • Interest in STEAM and STEAM careers
  • Desire to learn and practice transferable workplace skills
  • Rising High School Junior
  • Capacity to fully participate for a minimum of 10 hours up to 20 hours per week

Program Documents

Applications for the Career Pathways Internship are now open! The application for the Fall 2024 Semester will close on Friday, August 16th, 2024 at 5:30 PM. Completed applications need a complete application form and recommendation form.
