On December 11, 2024, CCL hosted its semi-annual end-of-semester final exhibition at Berna Facio, marking our largest exhibition to date! Over 200 student interns and their families came together to showcase the skills they gained during their Fall 2024 internships, highlighting the profound impact these experiences in the Work Based Learning Program have had on their personal and professional lives.

The evening began with an exciting performance by the La Cueva Cheer team, who captivated the audience with a sneak peek of their routines for the upcoming national competition. Next, the incredibly talented Mariachi band from Atrisco Heritage Academy filled the air with vibrant music, showing off their breathtaking skills and hard work.

Student interns from across Albuquerque then presented their work through slideshows, poster boards, and live demonstrations. Each intern shared insights into the tasks they completed during their internships, as well as their personal reflections on their experiences during the internship.

The internship programs spanned a diverse range of fields, including student aids, school store/snack bar work & management, agriculture, legal/immigration services, automotive, welding, nonprofit work, cheerleading, ICar, instrument repair, film production, Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Program, and much more!  We are so proud of all our amazing student interns and all they have accomplished this semester!

A special thanks to everyone who volunteered to help and/or contributed to our potluck—there was more than enough delicious food for everyone to enjoy! Stay tuned for updates on our next final exhibition at the end of the year. We can't wait to see you there!
