Amazon Announces New Career Choice Program for Albuquerque Graduates

Amazon is proud to introduce the Career Choice program, an exciting opportunity for recent high school graduates! This initiative is designed to help individuals take the next step in their education and career journey with the support of Amazon.

What is Career Choice?Career Choice is an education benefit thatempowers eligible employees to learn new skillsfor career success at Amazon or elsewhere.Who’s eligible?Hourly full-time (40+ hours a week), reduced time(30+ hours a week), and part-time (20-29 hours aweek) employees are eligible to participate in theprogram after 90 days of continuous employment.Note: English language courses and coachingservices are available for enrollment starting on Day1 of employment.How much is covered?Amazon pre-pays tuition and reimburses forbooks, and fees within an annual limit of $5,250for full-time employees, and $2,625 for part-timeemployees.What programs are included?We offer a wide variety of programs includingEnglish language, GED/High School completion, indemand job training, and College degrees.Do you offer Career Coaching?Starting on Day One, you can meet with a careercoach for free. Our coaches can assist with careergoals, choosing an academic program, or withcrafting your resume.How do I apply?Visit Career Choice on A to Z to sign inand apply.How do I decide which programto sign up for?If you need help deciding which track or programto sign up for, speak to one of our free careercoaches.     • Part time and full time blue-badge associates are eligible for Career Choice benefits after only 90 days of employment.
    • Funding for both traditional degree programs as well as trade schools and certifications
    • Kaplan career counseling is provided to program enrollees at no charge to help them select a path that matches their aspirations and situation
    • Partnered with over 400 schools and programs nationwide to ensure quality educational experiences for all enrollees
    • Partnered with employers like Pepsi and AWS to ensure that graduates have job opportunities within or outside Amazon across many different fields
    • Program funding can be used in conjunction with other sources of funding like scholarships, grants, etc.
