Third Thursday of each May is Global Accessibility Awareness Day. Accessibility removes barriers and unlocks the possible.

Deque Virtual Celebration

In celebration of this year's Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), Deque is offering two awesome virtual events. Attend one or both sessions for free!

Event Schedule

• Accessibility Awareness Lab on Wednesday, May 18 from 12 to 1 p.m. MT. Help your team understand how people with disabilities experience and use technology. Gain understanding and empathy so that you can begin to make a difference.
• Fundamentals Bootcamp on Thursday, May 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MT. This training provides basic insight into why web accessibility matters, laws and policies, tools and technologies and common practices and guidelines to get started.

What is Digital Accessibility?

Every user deserves a first-rate digital experience on the web. Someone with a disability must be able to experience web-based services, content and other digital products with the same successful outcome as those without disabilities. This awareness and commitment to inclusion is the goal of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), a global event that shines a light on digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities.
