JI8 Acceptable Student Use of Educational Technology
Albuquerque Public Schools may provide technology resources to its students for educational purposes. The goal of providing these resources shall be to promote educational excellence.
The mission of the one-to-one student device program in the Albuquerque Public Schools district is to create a collaborative learning environment for all learners. This environment will enable and support our learners and educators to implement transformative uses of technology while enhancing students’ engagement with content and promoting the development of self-directed, responsible lifelong learners and users. Students will transition from consumers of information to creative producers and owners of knowledge.
Proper behavior, as it relates to the use of education technological devices, shall be no different from proper behavior in all other aspects of Albuquerque Public Schools activities. All users shall use the educational technology equipment in a responsible, ethical, and polite manner. Violation of this policy may result in corrective action.
