In light of the public health emergency due to the Covid-19 virus APS is taking extra precautions with necessary meetings. All Board of Education meetings will be virtual meetings for the month of April. The agenda items will be kept to urgent business or those items needing approval to conduct district business.

Letter from Board of Education on Coronavirus

APS has had 28 superintendents (a few served as interim superintendents) in its 129-year history. Except for John Milne, who served as superintendent for 45 years beginning in 1911, the average tenure of an APS superintendent is just under three years.
