Important Notice About Upcoming Meetings

In light of the Public Health Order due to the Covid-19 virus, APS is taking extra precautions with necessary meetings.  Effective April 7, 2021, Board of Education members will participate in the board meetings in person.  Meeting participants, including presenters, recognition guests, public forum speakers, and the public will continue to attend meetings virtually.  The agenda items will be kept to urgent business or those items needing approval to conduct district business.

Minutes of Special Board of Education Meeting

The Board of Education

Albuquerque Public Schools

 

A Special meeting of the Board of Education of Albuquerque Public Schools was held Tuesday, January 15, 2013, beginning at 5:30 p.m., in the DeLayo Martin Community Room, Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex, 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE.

 

I.      Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m.

  1. A. Roll Call

Present: Analee Maestas, Kathy Korte, Lorenzo Garcia, Martin Esquivel, Paula Maes, David Robbins and David Peercy

  1. B. Adoption of the January 15, 2013, Special Board of Education Meeting Agenda (Discussion/Action)

Martin Esquivel motioned to adopt the agenda.   Kathy Korte seconded the motion. Board members unanimously adopted the agenda.

 

II.     Consideration for Approval to Adjourn to Executive Session Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act NMSA 1978, § 10-15-1 (H) (2) (Limited Personnel Matters) for the Purpose of Discussion of the Superintendent’s Evaluation (Action)

Martin Esquivel motioned to convene in executive session. Kathy Korte seconded the motion. President Maes requested a roll-call vote, which resulted in agreement of board members to convene in executive session for the purpose of discussing the superintendent’s evaluation.

 

III.    Reconvene to Open Session

 

IV.    Statement of Closure

President Maes stated that the APS Board of Education met in executive session on January 15, 2013, to discuss the superintendent’s evaluation and the matters discussed in the executive session were limited only to those specified.

 

V.     Announcement of Meetings

President Maes announced that the Board of Education Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 5:00 p.m., in the John Milne Community Board Room of the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex, and the Special Board of Education meeting will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 5:30 p.m., in the DeLayo Martin Community Room of the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex

 

VI.    Adjournment
