Minutes of Special Board Meeting
The Board of Education
Albuquerque Public Schools
A Special Board meeting of the Board of Education of Albuquerque Public Schools was held Monday, December 22,2011, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the DeLayo Martin Community
room, Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex, 6400 Uptown NE.
I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 4:35 p.m.
A. Roll Call
Present: Martin Esquivel, Lorenzo Garcia, Kathy Korte, Paula Maes, Analee
Maestas, David Peercy, David Robbins
B. Adoption of the December 22, 2011, Special Board Meeting Agenda
(Discussion! Action)
David Peercy motioned to adopt the agenda. Kathy Korte seconded the motion.
Board members unanimously adopted the December 22,2011, Special meeting agenda.
II. Consideration for Approval to Adjourn to Executive Session Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act NMSA 1978, § 10-15-1 (II) (2) (Limited Personnel Matters) for the Purpose of Discussion of the Superintendent's Evaluation (Action) Kathy Korte motioned to adjourn in executive session. Lorenzo Garcia seconded
the motion. The roll call vote resulted in agreement of board members to convene in executive session at 4:40 p.m. for the purpose of discussing the superintendent's evaluation.
III. Reconvene to Open Session
The meeting reconvened at 6:30 p.m.
IV. Statement of Closure
President Maes announced that the APS Board of Education met in executive session on December 22, 2011, to discuss the superintendent's evaluation and the matters discussed in the executive session were limited only to those specified.
V. Superintendent Report
Superintendent Brooks had no report at this meeting.
VI. Board Reports
Board members had no reports at this meeting.
VII. Upcoming Board Meetings
President Maes announced that the next Special Board meeting will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, at 7:30 a.m. in the DeLayo Martin Community Room of the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex and the next Board of Education meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. in the John Milne Community Board Room of the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex.
