South Valley Academy, a successful public charter school located in Albuquerque’s South Valley, is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Development (ELD)/Reading Intervention Teacher to join our high school faculty. Our school primarily serves first-generation, college-bound students from low-income backgrounds, and we are committed to providing an equitable and rigorous education for all learners.
In this full-time role, the ELD/Reading Intervention Teacher will support the language development and academic growth of emerging bilingual students who are also striving readers. The teacher will provide targeted instruction to help students build English proficiency while developing critical reading skills, ensuring their full access to the academic curriculum and broader school community.
A TESOL endorsement is required. Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Skills
-Applicants must be licensed through the New Mexico Public Education Department in addition to having the appropriate endorsement(s), if applicable, in each subject area.
