JOB DESCRIPTION: Receptionist
As the Receptionist, you are the first person students, families, and visitors interact with, and
your job is to create a welcoming environment right from the start. Your role goes beyond just
answering the phone. As front office receptionist, you’re responsible for keeping the front office
organized and running smoothly, making sure everyone who walks through our doors feels seen
and appreciated. From printing schedules and transcripts to helping out with school tours, you’re
a crucial part of the team. You’ll handle some day-to-day tasks like managing deposits, serving
meals, and maintaining the kitchen area, while also stepping in to support administrative projects
as needed. Your attention to detail, positivity, and ability to juggle multiple tasks will help keep
things on track, making the school feel like a welcoming space for everyone who comes in.
This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
● Greet and assist all students, families, guests, and community members.
● Maintain a clean, welcoming front office space.
● Answer phones, take messages, and ensure the phone directory and greetings are up to
date.
● Support with entering student data into Jupiter as needed.
● Print student schedules, transcripts, and report cards as needed.
● Handle student/staff IDs and print name tags for ROL’s, COL’s and school related events.
● Assist with serving breakfast and lunch, or find a replacement when necessary.
● Keep the kitchen area tidy and recruit help when necessary.
● Maintain organization of Governing Council books and documents.
● Work with the Community Engagement Director or other staff to give school tours to
new students and families.
● Support Chief Finance Officer, Pillar Directors and office staff with administrative tasks
and special projects as needed.
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or customer service role,
preferably in a school setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Customer service mindset, with a welcoming and positive attitude.
● Friendly, positive, and great at building relationships with people.
● A can-do attitude with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
● Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is a plus, but not a must.
● Ability to work independently while supporting the overall team and school operations.
● Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent communication skills, both in-person and on the phone (Bilingual).
● Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
● Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Salary, Benefits & Other Details:
● Starting Salary $51,600 (Prorated if work begins after the start of the school year)
● Licensure renewal paid by the institution.
● Tuition reimbursement for higher education degrees.
● Testing fees for additional licensing endorsements paid by the institution. (If
applicable)
● 215 contract days.
