Job Description: Success Coach & Project-Based Learning Teacher This dynamic role
involves leading personalized student support, implementing restorative practices, and serving
as the primary liaison between students and their families. As a Project-Based Learning (PBL)
Teacher, you will design and facilitate industry-driven projects, collaborating with colleagues in
a co-teaching model. Your focus will be on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and contributing
to the school’s innovative design.
In alignment with our values, the role of PBL teacher & Success Coach shows up in the
following practices at Siembra:
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead student support initiatives with a relationship-based, student-centered approach.
● Design and facilitate authentic, community-responsive projects aligned with learning
objectives.
● Collaborate in a co-teaching model to develop cross-disciplinary projects, culminating
in celebrations of learning.
● Guide a caseload of students, supporting their intellectual, social, and emotional
development through restorative practices.
● Serve as the main contact for students and families, conducting family meetings.
● Contribute to the development of equitable assessment systems and inclusive
instruction.
● Engage in ongoing professional development and commit to social justice principles.
● Promote the school model to the broader community and actively participate in school
culture building.
Required Skills
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree or higher.
● New Mexico secondary teaching license.
● Ability to pass a background check.
● Strong commitment to student-centered education and relationship-building.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in supporting students' social and emotional needs.
● Special Education license, Math endorsement, TESOL endorsement.
● Bilingual/bicultural skills.
● Endorsements in multiple content areas.
Benefit Information
Salary, Benefits & Other Details: ● Level I: $60,049 | Level II: $72,060 | Level III or Doctoral Degree: $84,070 ● Licensure renewal paid by the institution. ● Tuition reimbursement for higher education degrees. ● Testing fees for additional teaching endorsements paid by the institution. ● Hard-to-staff stipend for Special Education & Math endorsements. ● 191 contract days.
