Job Description: Success Coach & Project-Based Learning Teacher

This role is ideal for educators who believe in the power of social entrepreneurship and want to guide students in creating innovative solutions to community challenges. As an Advisor, you will support students’ holistic development through relationship-based coaching, restorative practices, and strong family engagement. As a Project-Based Learning (PBL) Teacher, you will co-design and facilitate interdisciplinary, industry-driven projects that encourage students to think critically and act boldly in pursuit of meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead student support initiatives with a relationship-based, student-centered approach.
Design and implement authentic, community-responsive projects focused on social entrepreneurship.
Collaborate in a co-teaching model to develop cross-disciplinary projects culminating in public showcases.
Guide a caseload of students, supporting their intellectual, social, and emotional development through restorative practices.
Serve as the primary contact for students and families, conducting family meetings and goal-setting sessions.
Develop equitable assessment systems that value creativity, innovation, and impact.
Engage in ongoing professional development and commit to the principles of social justice and equity.
Actively participate in building a vibrant school culture and promoting Siembra’s unique model within the broader community.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
New Mexico secondary teaching license.
Ability to pass a background check.
Deep commitment to student-centered learning, social justice, and relationship-building.
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 3 teaching license.
Special Education license.
Experience supporting students' social and emotional needs.
Bilingual/bicultural skills.
Endorsements in multiple content areas, particularly Math or TESOL.
Salary, Benefits & Other Details:
Level I: $60,049 | Level II: $72,060 | Level III or Doctoral Degree: $84,070
Licensure renewal paid by the institution.
Tuition reimbursement for higher education degrees.
Testing fees for additional teaching endorsements covered by the institution.
Hard-to-staff stipend for Special Education & Math endorsements.
191 contract days.
