2nd Grade Teacher
International School at Mesa del Sol is currently seeking to fill their open 2nd Grade Teacher position.
The International School at Mesa del Sol (TIS) is a public charter school that will begin its sixteenth year of operation in August 2024. It offers a tuition-free International Baccalaureate curriculum and instruction in pre-Kindergarten through 12th grades. Our students are diverse, covering central New Mexico's geographical area of more than 50 square miles and 21 different zip codes. Class sizes are 20:1 (K is 18:1 with an Educational Assistant).
Required Skills
The classroom teacher will create a flexible program and an environment favorable to learning and
personal growth by encouraging students to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to
obtain a good foundation for continuous growth and development. By providing students with
experiences which integrate the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor dimensions of learning, the
classroom teacher will establish an effective rapport with students and their families and assist students
in developing positive feelings toward themselves and others.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Current New Mexico teaching certificate in specified field
Current endorsements dependent upon specific positions may be required
Additional requirements may be applicable for specific positions
