Required Skills

Qualifications & Position Details

• Substitutes must have the appropriate license from the NM Public Education Department, as well as experience working with students and managing a classroom.
• At least 1 year of experience and the ability to sub at least 3 days per week is preferred.
• This is an As Needed Sub position. However, we need subs very often; so most school days you will likely have the opportunity to sub.
• Subs are requested at least the afternoon prior to when they are needed or earlier, when possible. However, we are also looking for candidates who can be contacted with sufficient time the morning of the day they are needed, as sometimes these situations cannot be avoided.
• DATA pays substitutes significantly more than some districts in Albuquerque.
