Job Requirements:

  • NM Level III-B licensure
  • Experience with teacher supervision and evaluation
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and guidelines

Preferred:

  • Experience in a trauma-informed environment working with at-risk scholars
  • Highly effective technology skills
  • Minimum six years teaching experience
  • Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Working to support the unique mission of our school, which necessitates questioning dominant thinking in the field of education
  • Passionately enjoying our work with young adults and believing that all scholars can achieve
  • Supporting and maintaining our school’s positive, asset-based, growth-oriented, relationship-based culture
  • Supporting the development of leadership skills in all staff members within our Distributed Leadership model
  • Implementing the ABQCA Charter and Governance Council policies and procedures
  • Serving as a member of the school’s Leadership Team
  • Serving in the role of primary building administrator when the Principal is not on campus
  • Ensuring a positive, safe and secure learning environment
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Overseeing, developing, and implementing the schools’ Behavior Management System:
  • Maintaining a behavior management approach based on Developmental Relationships, Trauma-Informed
  • Schooling, and Restorative Justice
  • Serving in a leadership capacity on the school’s Attendance Task Force
  • Maintaining positive and supportive relationships with the families of our scholars, working to engage them in the educational process
  • Supporting the Director of Curriculum and Instruction by:
  • Evaluating teachers and recommending individual Professional Development goals as the guideposts for
  • PDPs and Instructional Coaching
  • Keeping informed about changes in instructional standards and the legislation that guides these standards
  • Serving on other school teams, such as: MLSS, 504, SEL, CTE while supporting others in the leadership of those teams
  • Together with the Leadership Team, contributing to the school’s:
  • Ed Plan and 90-Day Plan
  • Bi-Annual APS Site Visits
  • Annual Mission Specific Indicators
  • Graduation goals
  • Data analysis and responding to data in a culture of continuous improvement

Salary starts at $115,000, depending on experience. 177‐day school year,
Work schedule Tuesday through Friday 7:30am‐3:45pm.
