Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching

Jessica Esquibel was recognized for receiving a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

The Presidential Award of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is the highest honor that a kindergarten through grade 12 mathematics or science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the United States.  The selection committee was comprised of outstanding scientists, mathematicians, education researchers, school and district administrators and educators.  Ms. Esquibel was selected as one of only 108 teachers from the 50 states, Washington D.C., the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Department of Defense Education Activity schools, and the U.S. Territories.  Awardees receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation.  Ms. Esquibel received this prestigious award for her deep content knowledge, and her ability to motivate and enable students to be successful.  Congratulations, Ms. Esquibel!
