Juan Clark Esparza received a New Mexico School Boards Association’s 2020 Scholarship.  He was one of 24 outstanding high school graduating seniors who were selected to receive the awards from a total of 51 seniors nominated by school boards across New Mexico. The recipients were selected based on specific criteria including demonstrated leadership, academic performance, community involvement, and extracurricular activities. Each scholarship recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to further their higher education. Mr. Esparza is pictured with his JROTC instructor Major Hendricks and a 3D printer.  Among Mr. Esparza’s many accomplishments, he is part of the JROTC team at West Mesa High School that has made more than 2100 face shield masks for hospitals and first responders using 3D printers. Congratulations and thank you, Mr. Esparza!
