High Schools and Nurses Who Helped with Immunizations

Several high schools and nurses were recognized for their help administering vaccines.

APS nursing staff: Robert Colwell, Linda Pasternacki, Roberta Albers, Geri Garza, Natalie Sharpton, Molly Covington, Carmen Cedillos, Nate McWhorter, Laura King, and Lauri Sedalnick helped the New Mexico Department of Health host childhood and COVID vaccines at Albuquerque High School, Cibola High School, La Cueva High School, and West Mesa High School.  Over the course of two weeks, more than 1,380 childhood vaccines were administered and almost 500 students received a COVID vaccine. The school and nursing teams also worked after their duty day to help the Department of Health look up immunization records.  This collaborative effort helped many children avoid repeat vaccinations.  Thank you for your extraordinary efforts to keep our communities safe.
