Corporate Volunteer Council of New Mexico

The Corporate Volunteer Council of New Mexico was recognized for their support of APS students and families.

The Corporate Volunteer Council of New Mexico collaborated with the One Albuquerque Fund and the City of Albuquerque’s Office of Civic Engagement to raise money for school supplies to help Albuquerque Public Schools families.  The Corporate Volunteer Council of New Mexico is an association of businesses and corporations, united to promote volunteerism among employees for the benefit of the community.  The group says the pandemic has highlighted the student need for cleaning supplies, pencils and pens, colored pencils and markers, glue sticks, spiral notebooks, protractors, and many other essential learning utensils.  Donations of cash and supplies of almost $45,000 came from the City of Albuquerque (One ABQ Fund), AON Risk Solutions, the Bank of Albuquerque, Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico, Fidelity Investments, Mark Pardo Salon Spa, PNM, the Rio Grande Credit Union, Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union, Sandia National Laboratories, and Thornburg Investment Management.  The school supplies are available to all APS schools and APS charter schools through the APS Community Clothing Bank and School Supply Barn.  Thank you to the Corporate Volunteer Council of New Mexico for being such a fabulous community partner!
