Air Force JROTC 2020 Distinguished Unit Awards
Sandia and Volcano Vista’s Air Force JROTC Units received a Distinguished Unit Award
The Distinguished Unit Award is only given to a Unit if it meets the following criteria:
- A Unit evaluation that “meets standards.” No discrepancies are allowed. All standards must be met.
- A completed, saved, and submitted self-assessment.
- Up to date and complete program status reports.
- Saved and submitted Unit goals.
- Accurate inventory and documentation of equipment.
- At least one Curriculum in Action academic trip with more than 50 percent participation.
- And an average of 12 community service hours per cadet planned by the cadet staff, executed by the cadet corps, and supervised by a certified Air Force JROTC instructor.
