2021 Counselors and Counselor Advocate of the Year

Four exceptional counselors and a counselor advocate were recognized by the Board of Education.

Larry D'Anza, principal, Sandia High School was named the Counseling Advocate of the Year.  Melissa Perez of James Monroe Middle School was named the Newcomer School Counselor of the Year. Lynda Molyneaux of Dolores Gonzales Elementary School was named the Elementary School Counselor of the Year.  Melanie Martinez of Cleveland Middle School was named the Middle School Counselor of the Year.  Lynn Ramsey of the Career Enrichment Center and Early College Academy was named the High School Counselor of the Year.  These four outstanding school counselors and counseling advocate exemplify the highest standards in the counseling profession.  Congratulations Larry, Melissa, Lynda, Melanie, and Lynn!
