Operations
The Office of Operations oversees the planning, development, assessment, and improvement of operational services and administrative programs, including non-instructional projects.
The department also assists the superintendent in promoting overall efficiency and maximizing operational and administrative services in support of educational opportunities for kindergarten through twelfth-grade students.

About the Departments in Operations
APS Police
APS Police exists for the purpose of providing police and security services to the public schools. We have many resources for students, parents, employees, and the community that support the schools and help provide a safe and healthy environment for the APS community.
Capital Master Plan
Capital Master Plan, facilitates, projects, plans, and funds all educational and information technology facilities and equipment for Albuquerque Public Schools. Albuquerque Public Schools is among the largest school district in the nation.
Facilities, Design, and Construction
Facilities, Design, & Construction, is responsible for the on-going, district-wide construction, renovation and major repairs of APS facilities. FD+C employs a variety of architects, engineers, construction managers, furniture, equipment, and facility specialists, and business support accounting and administrative personnel who oversee the complex, and often challenging task of ensuring the projects identified and funded in the APS Capital Master Plan are completed.
Food and Nutrition Services
Food and Nutrition Services, provides healthy school breakfasts, lunches, and snacks to students. We provide nutrition education and work with children who have special nutrition needs while serving more than 70,000 meals each day to our students.
Maintenance and Operations
Maintenance and Operations, mission is to partner with the schools in creating environments conducive to student success by providing purposeful, comfortable, aesthetic, clean, safe, and accessible learning and activity spaces in meeting academic achievement goals.
APS Facilities Rentals is a part of the Maintenance and Operations office.
Nursing Services
Nursing Services, recognizes the connection between health and learning and are committed to improving student health throughout the district.
Student Transportation Services
Student Transportation Services manages and schedules a bus fleet of nearly 500 buses that travel over 6 million miles annually.
