Images

Adding images and slideshows to your site are great ways to personalize and show off the students, activities, and school in general. There are two different ways to upload images onto your site. You can either upload an individual image to your page, or you can create an Image Album to use the images in different places on the site or to create slideshows.

Posting a Single Image on a Page

If there is one picture that is needed only on one page, you can upload it without creating an Image Album.

  1. Log into School Loop
  2. Click on Webmaster Center in the Toolbox
  3. Navigate to the page you want to add the picture to
  4. Click the green plus sign
  5. Select Picture under the Element Gallery
  6. Please give your image a title, alt tag/description, and select/browse for your image file
  7. Click Submit
This image will only be able to be accessed in this one element. You will not be able to access it on any other page or use it in a slideshow unless it is added to an Image Album.

Images and Slideshows using Image Albums

To use the same images on multiple pages, you don't need to upload them separately each time. You can create an Image Album and access them on any page on the site. Also, if you want to create a slideshow, you must create an Image Album and upload the images for that specific slideshow to that album.

Adding an Image Album

Creating Image Albums will allow you to access the images in different places on the site.

    1. Log into School Loop
    2. Click on Webmaster Center in the Toolbox
    3. In the right column, under Image Albums, click Add Album
    4. Give the album a title and description
    5. Click Submit
You can now access your new album in your Webmaster Center. Under Image Albums, you can also edit your album, add or delete images, or delete your album.

Uploading Images to an Image Album

Once you have created your Image Album, you can upload your images. The images that you upload in these albums can be accessed on any page on the site, so you will only have to upload them once.

      1. Log into School Loop
      2. Click on Webmaster Center in the Toolbox
      3. Under Image Albums, click on Add Images under the title of the album that you want the picture uploaded to
      4. Please give your image a title, alt tag/description, and select/browse for your image file
      5. Click Submit

      Posting Images using Image Albums

Once you have your Image Album set up with the images you want uploaded, you can add them to any page on the site.

      1. Log into School Loop
      2. Click on Webmaster Center in the Toolbox
      3. Navigate to the page you want to add a slideshow to
      4. Click the green plus sign
      5. Select Rich Text Editor under the Element Gallery
      6. Click the Image Icon (looks like a framed house) in the toolbar
      7. Select the Image Album that contains your image
      8. Then, click on your Image
      9. Edit any of the dimensions of your image, then click Select
      10. If that's all you want in the rich text editor, click Save & Exit

        Applying Images to a Slideshow

Once you have your Image Album set up with the images you want uploaded, you can create a slideshow and apply them to any page on the site.

        1. Log into School Loop
        2. Click on Webmaster Center in the Toolbox
        3. Navigate to the page you want to add a slideshow to
        4. Click the green plus sign
        5. Select Slideshow under Element Gallery
        6. Select the album you would like to use images from
        7. Tick the check box above each image you would like to use in the slideshow
          1. You can also select "Check All" to select every image.
          2. You can also add images by clicking "Add Images To Album."
        8. Click Submit
        9. Under Slideshow: Setup show, please set the slideshow options
        10. Click Save & Exit

If you want to put a slideshow on a page, you need to make sure you have created a specific album with all the pictures you want to use for that slideshow. You can't upload images not in a Image Album, and you can't use images from different albums.
