Groups

School Loop allows anyone with an account to create groups. Groups allow teachers and staff members to share resources, post news/events, and collaborate on projects.

Creating a New Group

Any teacher or staff member with a School Loop account can create a group.
To create a group:

  1. Log in to School Loop
  2. Click the Groups icon in the top right hand corner
  3. Click Create Group
  4. Title the group
  5. Check the box Private Group if you want your group to only be visible by group members and only allow the creator to edit members.
    • Do NOT check the box District-wide Group; if you want a district-wide group, contact the Web Team.
  6. Click Create

Adding Members to a Group

If your group is private, you may want to add members to it. Any group member can add new members to that same group. Here's how:

  1. Log in to School Loop
  2. Click the Groups icon in the top right hand corner
  3. Click on the title of the group you wish to add a member to
  4. Click on Member Management in the right hand column toolbox
  5. Click on Add Members in the right hand column toolbox
  6. Select the box next to the name of the person you want add
  7. Click Add

Removing Members from a Group

Any member of a group can remove other members from that same group. To remove members:

  1. Log in to School Loop
  2. Click the Groups icon in the top right hand corner
  3. Click on the title of the group you wish to remove a member from
  4. Click on Member Management in the right hand column toolbox
  5. Click on Remove Members in the right hand column toolbox
  6. Select the box next to the member you want to remove
  7. Click Remove Selected
  8. Click Delete

Deleting Groups

If you no longer use or need a group you can delete it. Only administrators and the group's creator can delete a group. Here's how to delete a group you've created:

  1. Log in to School Loop
  2. Click the Groups icon in the top right hand corner
  3. Click on the title of the group you wish to delete
  4. Click on Delete Group in the right hand column toolbox
  5. Click Delete
