Adding and Using Social Media

Increase engagement and interaction by including social media links or feeds on your site!

Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are some of the most popular platforms to get the word out about your school and connect with a wider audience.

Some things to consider before creating accounts

  • Decide what type of content will be displayed such as announcements, events, reminders, resources, etc.
  • Will the content be unique and valuable, not just taken from other areas of your site or specific to a few?
  • Is there someone who will be frequently updating and monitoring the pages or feeds?

  • Create an account with your APS email. To set up your profile, provide all of the necessary information as prompted. Be sure to update your security, privacy, and notifications settings.
  • Email the Web Team with the web address, or URL of your main page, and we will post it so the Facebook icon will display in the footer.

  • Create an account using your APS email. Follow the prompts to provide all necessary information.
  • In the left navigation, click on My Channel. From there follow the steps to complete the process. Be sure to update your security, privacy, and notifications settings.
  • Send the Web Team the web address, or URL, so we can post it in your school's footer.
