Web Content Accessibility Resources for All!

The Web Team has compiled some valuable web content accessibility resources that offer a great deal of guidance and clarity for web accessible documents and content — these resources have something for everyone!

This is a comprehensive yet basic guide to accessibility from SiteImprove, our accessibility and quality assurance service we use to address web content accessibility issues.

The guide covers 14 topics, which range from introductory info to specific, actionable advice:

  • The Basics Of Web Accessibility
  • Why Web Accessibility Should Be a Priority Now: 3 Stats to Prove It
  • 3 Easy Ways To Improve Your Website’s Accessibility
  • Why “Click Here” Is A Bad Thing
  • How to Be More Accessible on Social Media
  • Reap SEO Bonuses by Making Your Website Accessible
  • And more!

All online content has to be accessible, including our posted documents. However, not everyone has up-to-date versions of Microsoft and Adobe, and sometimes the instructions to fix problems in documents are vague and difficult to understand.

These one-page accessibility cheatsheets are a great solution — they are geared for a less technical audience, and offer instructions for Microsoft and Adobe software from 2007 to now.
