Nusenda Scholarship Opportunity

APS Secondary Summer Program has partnered with Nusenda Credit Union, which has contributed a $10,000 scholarship fund to the program. This fund is for current APS seniors who will graduate from the summer program. The scholarship funds will pay for a maximum of two summer school courses for each student meeting the criteria. Since 2015, this fund has helped 166 student reach their graduation  goals.

Seniors who will graduate in July 2018, may qualify for the Nusenda Senior Scholarship opportunity, which will pay for two half-credit  summer courses (up to one full credit).

DEADLINE to APPLY and SCHEDULE an interview is Friday, May 18, 2018.

Student qualifications and instructions:
• Active participant in the Free and Reduced Lunch waiver program
• Eligible to graduate in the July Summer Program graduation
• Complete pre-registration form and application with counselor
• Using the essay form, write a single paragraph answering the following questions:
    What are your goals after graduation?
    How this scholarship will help you reach those goals?
• Email Laura Valdez at laura.valdez@aps.edu by Friday, May 18, to schedule Interview
• Bring all associated documents to the interview

Counselor instructions:
• Complete the pre-registration form
• Enroll the student in the 2018 Summer Program
• Enter fee amounts
• Complete scholarship application with student
• Provide student with copies of pre-registration form, student fee profile and completed scholarship application
