Get Covered APS! Insurance Enrollment Event on Saturday, March 21st

Free health care enrollment event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grant Middle School.

"Open enrollment” for Federal Health Insurance officially ended on February 15th, so we encourage not only APS families to attend but the entire community. Medicaid enrollment can be done year round. On-site enrollment will be offered as well as certified health care guides to provide information and assistance in applying for Medicaid or information on insurance through New Mexico’s Health Care Exchange.

This free event will be held at Grant Middle School from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Grant Middle School is located at 1111 Easterday Dr NE (map).

This event will also include free TDAP and Flu Shots, food and drinks, hourly door prizes, activities for children and presentations on healthy lifestyles!

“Because health-related issues can be barriers to learning, APS is working on ways for students and families to be healthier,” said Brian Bolding, Medicaid enrollment coordinator in the APS Student, Family, and Community Supports Division. “We at APS believe that a healthier student is a more successful student.”

To Make Enrollment Faster...

Individuals wanting to enroll may want to bring: proof of citizenship, tribal status or immigration status (such as social security number, birth certificate, etc.), picture ID, proof of residency, proof of income, proof of household size, and any current insurance information and/or recent unpaid medical bills (if any). For recertification, only new proof of income along with a picture I.D. is required.
