Free Launch to Learn Fun & Wellness Fair on Saturday, August 1st

Free health care enrollment and wellness fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center.

APS has teamed up with the City of Albuquerque, Mission Graduate, United Way, University of New Mexico and ABC Libraries to host three summer fun & wellness fairs in conjunction with “Launch to Learn,” a city summer learning initiative that focuses on providing health education to students and families in a fun, engaging environment.

The final Launch to Learn Fun & Wellness Fair will be held at the Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center is located at 501 Elizabeth SE (map).

This event will include on-site immunizations for children, free dental checkups and fluoride treatments, as well as free snacks and drinks, hourly BioPark pass giveaways and other door prizes.  The City of Albuquerque will also provide free bus passes to summer school students and families at APS Title I schools so families can get to the event more easily.

“On-site insurance enrollment will be offered, as well as certified healthcare guides to provide information and assistance in applying for Medicaid or insurance through New Mexico’s Health Care Insurance Exchange,” said Brian Bolding, who oversees Medicaid enrollment for APS.

To Make Enrollment Faster...

Individuals wanting to enroll may want to bring: proof of citizenship, tribal status or immigration status (such as social security number, birth certificate, etc.), picture ID, proof of residency, proof of income, proof of household size, and any current insurance information and/or recent unpaid medical bills (if any).
