Medicaid Enrollment

Medicaid Enrollment is the MSBS Presumptive Eligibility / Medicaid On-Site Application Assistance (PE/MOSAA) program designed to help students and families with the process of Medicaid enrollment and can also provide eligible families with temporary cards that entitle them to obtain medical care while they wait for their application to be processed.

New Mexico Human Services Department

The New Mexico Human Services department (NMHSD) works to reduce the impact of poverty on people living in New Mexico.

  • PE/MOSAA staff will meet with families or individuals to assist with the process of Medicaid enrollment.
  • Bilingual services are available.
  • If you are eligible for benefits, you'll be provided with short-term full coverage insurance that covers healthcare needs until you are able to get benefits from the New Mexico Human Services Department's Income Support Division.

To qualify for Medicaid, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Your child must be a U. S. citizen or legal resident
  2. Your family’s gross monthly income must meet certain criteria
