TEDxABQ ED 2015 Taking Speaker Applications

The deadline is Monday, Dec. 15.

Do you have a vision for education and life-long learning in New Mexico? TEDxABQ is now accepting speaker applications for its 2015 Education event on Friday, March 27, at the African-American Performing Arts Center.

The deadline for speaker applications in Monday, Dec. 15.

All speaker applications will be reviewed by a committee and chosen applicants will be contacted in January.

The selection criteria include:

  • an understanding of the TED format,
  • a new innovative, forward-thinking idea about education,
  • relevance to New Mexico, and
  • the ability to present the idea to an audience of 300.

Submitting a short (amateur) video of the applicant speaking will strengthen your application, and may be requested at a later date. Before wowing event attendees with their three to nine minute talks, selected speakers will undergo a compelling two-month speaker coaching process.

If you’re not familiar with the TED concept, please visit TED.com or TEDxABQ.com and review some of the recorded talks before applying. Familiarity with the TED.com approach will make your application much stronger.

If you (or someone you know) would be interested in sharing  ideas about the future of learning in New Mexico at this event please complete the speaker application at TEDxABQ.com

TEDxABQ is a project of the non-profit Rio Grande Community Development Corporation.
