Sam Parnell is winding up his 38-year teaching career:  21 years at Valley High School; four years at the Career Enrichment Center; 12 years at Grant Middle School; one year as a tutor; three years at Socorro Junior High School; and one year as a substitute teacher.

For the past 21 years, Mr. Parnell has taught Latin, U.S. history, English, world history and government at Valley. He was on the VHS football coaching staff from 1994 through 2006.
