Rachel Balboa, Adobe Acres ES

Rachel Balboa, a teacher retiring from Adobe Acres Elementary, started her career as a full-time mother. Then she became a radio broadcaster, an experience she credited with helping her to be a better teacher. She is originally from Texas, and is married to Jose and has two beautiful daughters.

Although she student-taught at other schools, she was a teacher at Armijo Elementary for several years before moving to Adobe Acres. She currently is teaching a second grade dual-language class. Her students adore her as well as her collaborating teachers.

With a great career behind her, she will be enjoy her husband of 49 years, her two daughters and three grandsons, as well as her two favorite sons-in-law.

Rachel, we will miss your spunky attitude and dedication that you have so gracefully shared us with.
